Building Knowledge for a Concerted and Sustainable Approach to Refugee Resettlement in the EU and its Member States

14-15 May: EU Resettlement Skills Share Day


On 14th and 15th May in Brussels, the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) , UNHCR and IOM, will hold the first EU Resettlement Skills Share Day - an interactive event with expert panels, workshops, a resettlement marketplace and a film screening, featuring the films Refugees Who Needs Them and Moving to Mars. The event will be attended by around 200 participants drawn from governments, international organisations, practitioners and resettled refugees.

The aim is to share practices and to build an EU wide Resettlement Network. The Skills Share Day will feature the Commissioner Malmström, the Danish Presidency, MEPs and a representative from the European Asylum Support Office (EASO) alongside resettled refugees from Afghanistan, Burma, Congo, Eritrea, Iraq and Somalia.This event is part of the joint ‘Linking-IN EU Resettlement’ project run by ICMC, UNHCR and IOM.
