Slovenia

The International Protection Act (21 November 2007) (i) reflects the changes brought by the accession to the European Union and responds to the need to bring the Slovenian system in line with the asylum acquis; and (ii) introduces the legal basis for resettlement. Moreover, a Decree (2011) regulates the implementation of resettlement of persons admitted to Slovenia.

Abstract

The International Protection Act (Zakon o mednarodni zaščiti) was adopted in the original text on the 21 November 2007. It was published in the Official Gazzette (Uradni list) no. 11/2011 (official consolidated text). The new act reflects the changes brought by the accession to the European Union and responds to the need to bring the Slovenian system in line with the asylum acquis.  In addition, it also introduces the legal basis for resettlement.

Abstract

The Government Decree on the manner of implementation of resettlement of persons admitted to the Republic of Slovenia based on a yearly quota (Uredba o načinu izvedbe preselitve oseb, ki so v Republiko Slovenijo sprejete na podlagi letne kvote), published in the Official Gazzette no. 59/11.
